Isaiah 33:15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil;
Precious saints today while meditating on God's word, I observed about dwellers on the high. We all want posh society to dwell and try all means to dwell in that society.
But Lord has a different society to dwell and has few parameters to dwell in that society. Let's look into those
1. Walking righteously
Lord is holy and says "Be Holy as I am Holy" Holy life is a foremost criteria in the heavenly society. Walking righteous is dealing with all people in a righteous manner. In this world we have people who would use you persecute you but instead of reacting to them how do we deal with them?
Lord says forgive those who hurt you and he will forgive your faults.
2. Speaking Upright
Speaking truth is a rare phenomenon nowadays in this corporate and wicked world everyone is lying and not speaking the truth Lord says every word that proceeds from the mouth will be judged.
3. Getting gain through oppression
Does that sound familiar, we can see that happening in the world leaders, people are interested in gains through oppressing people. Love is absent in all the dealings.
4. Bribe
Taking bribe to get the work done, It is so prevalent in the world, people are lovers of money and would go to any extent to get their work done. We have bribe takers in schools, hospitals, work place to get promotion.
5. Murdering people
In the name of religion we have people murdering and killing people.
6. Seeing no evil
Lord says the eyes are the light of the body. How great tye darkness if the eyes are evil. Lord is particular about the eyes and goes on to say that if you see a woman in an adulterous manner, you have sinned against her.
Saints we are living in an age where people are lovers of self, boaster and living in an adulterous manner. That is COOLfor some and many people sell themselves so cheaply to people.
Let's remember that we are a royal priesthood, chosen generation and we have a society to live where there is no sickness, pain, no aging, no hunger, we have a hope and we need to follow simple steps to attain that citizenship.
Give your life to Jesus today, tomorrow may not be yours, confess your sins and open your heart to Jesus. Invite him today and live righteous and holy as per the bible.
